What To Expect

Booking your appointment

  • When you call to book your service, your massage therapist will talk with you to get all needed information for your appointment including price and payment method.
  • They will address your goals and any concerns and book your time and location for your massage.
  • The massage therapist will consider information about your physical condition, medical history, lifestyle, stress levels, and/or medications that could affect your massage therapy outcome.
  • This information will help the massage therapist customize the session to achieve your goals.

Appointment Arrival

  • Your therapist will bring a massage table and all needed tools and equipment for your massage service
  • Please have a clear space ready where your therapist can set up the massage table and have room to walk around the table during the massage.

Massage Therapy Session

 

  • You will be massaged with oil or creme. If you have topical allergies, tell your massage therapist before the massage.
  • If you’re receiving a hot stone massage, always tell your massage therapist if you are uncomfortable with the temperature of the stones.
  • Depending on your preliminary interview, the massage therapist will massage either the full body (except private areas) or only specific areas that need attention.
  • Table massage lasts 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes.
  • After your massage, the massage therapist will leave the room to allow you to get up and get dressed in privacy.
  • Tips are appreciated to recognize outstanding service, but not required.

Privacy

  • Little Massage Coach performs ETHICAL AND THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE 
  • Before your massage, you’ll be asked to remove your clothing and lay under the sheet and blanket provided on the massage table.
  • The massage therapist will leave the room while you undress. If you are uncomfortable getting fully undressed, tell your massage therapist and together you will decide an appropriate and comfortable amount of undress for your treatment.
  • Lie on the massage table, underneath the provided sheet, which will cover your body. Only the part being massaged will be uncovered at any given time during the massage.
  • Your therapist wants you to have the best possible experience, so please speak up if you are feeling uncomfortable with the draping of the sheet in any way and your therapist will adjust accordingly.
  • After the massage, the therapist will leave the room to allow you to get up and dressed in privacy.

Environment

  • Soft music will be played. If you find music distracting, tell your massage therapist. You are also welcome to play your own music.
  • Feel free to chat with your therapist, or let them know if you’d like more quiet.
  • Your massage therapist should ask about pressure and comfort throughout your massage. If you’re uncomfortable at any time, tell your massage therapist.
  • The massage table is padded and may have extra attachments or cushions, such as a face cradle, which allows you to lie facedown without turning your head.
  • The lights will be dimmed for your comfort during the massage.

What To Expect From Massage Therapist

  • Mutual respect, courtesy, professionalism, confidentiality and dignity between you and the massage therapist
  • Being draped appropriately by a sheet and blanket, with only the area being massaged exposed
  • A licensed professional massage therapist, working within their scope of practice and in an ethical manner. 
  • An intake conversation about your medical conditions and your expectations for the massage
  • You have the right and option to ask questions of the massage therapist and receive professional responses
  • You have the right to determine if there will be conversation, music, or quiet during the massage
  • You may ask for an explanation of the nature of the massage and techniques used before and during the massage
  • You give consent to the massage techniques and approaches
  • You may request adjustments to pressure at any time during the massage
  • You and your massage therapist both have the right to stop a massage and report anything you/they feel is inappropriate during the massage.

Follow-up

  • The benefits of massage therapy are collective and cumulative. Your massage therapist would love to customize a plan to meet your health and wellness goals through regular customized massage treatments.
  • We offer a membership program with automatic monthly payments to provide discounts and convenience to clients who want to receive regular services. 

Cancellation Policy

  • A 24-hour cancellation/reschedule policy applies to all our services. If you cancel or reschedule within 24 hours of your service, you will be charged a fee of 50 percent of the scheduled service to compensate your therapist for their time.

No Show Policy

  • If you are not there when your therapist arrives and have not given any notice, we reserve the right to charge you 100 percent of your total services. Thank you for respecting your therapist’s time.
